Gavin Howard
Gavin has been a member of the Farrar Gesini & Dunn team since August 2003. He is a fearless advocate and believes in thorough preparation of matters. Gavin knows that both sides may often have similar issues of concern and will try to draw to each party’s attention the positives in their case which can help them settle their dispute amicably. If settlement is not possible then Gavin will ensure that your case has the best chance of success in any hearing.
Gavin has been practising extensively in family law since 1993 and has been representing children in the Family Court since 1994.
Prior to practicing as a family lawyer, Gavin spent seven years working in NSW Local Courts, during which time he was appointed a Clerk of the Court in rural NSW as well as a Coroner. Gavin’s commitment to continuing his legal education has seen him awarded specialist accreditation in both Family Law and Advocacy by the NSW Law Society. Gavin is the firm’s specialist in-house counsel and he appears as counsel in many matters for this firm and others. Gavin is a member of the ACT Law Society Family Law Committee and was a former board member of SIDS and Kids ACT.
