Chantel joined the firm in 2018 after spending the previous six years in childcare, working closely with children and families. Following the completion of her undergraduate degree in Sociology, Chantel embarked on obtaining her Juris Doctor with the intention of working predominately in family law.
Since Chantel’s admission to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia, she has practiced exclusively in the area of family law and regularly appears in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. Chantel has developed a broad range of experience across various parenting and property matters; including divorce, spousal maintenance, property settlement involving intricate financial structures and complex parenting matters.
Chantel prides herself on being understanding, compassionate and empathetic towards her client’s needs, helping them to achieve the best possible outcome without resorting to litigation where possible. Chantel’s background in working with children and families allows her to approach family law issues from a unique perspective, assisting client’s during this difficult time in a cost effective and timely manner.
Chantel will use any excuse to talk about her beautiful Australia Bulldog, Lyla, and has gone so far as to create somewhat of a following for her on Instagram. When she’s not cuddling up with her dog on the couch or taking her for long walks, Chantel can be found running off to a spin class or scouting out new and upcoming restaurants and bars around Sydney.
