The team at Farrar Gesini Dunn has donned their running shoes and taken off around Melbourne’s iconic Botanical Gardens, Tan Track in preparation for the LIV Legal Fun Run and Walk coming up on 10 November 2014.
Sarah Keenan, Leila Kirsch and Elisa Turco will be channeling some serious “Kath Day/ Kel Knight” power walking techniques as they compete in the 4km Walk, whilst Bonnie Phillips, Daniel Myers and Brie Ellison will be put through their paces in the 8km Run.
The event is in support of the WATL Foundation (Wellbeing and the Law) established to raise funds to support the mental health and wellbeing of the legal profession.
Not only does the event offer a sound reminder about the importance of mental health in the legal profession, but it also ties in with one of our fundamentals here at Farrar Gesini Dunn in offering alternative dispute resolution and collaboration when resolving family law matters wherever possible.
Collaboration is aimed at supporting individuals through some of the most difficult and challenging times of their lives with a team approach incorporating psychologists, accountants, valuers and even divorce coaches if appropriate.
The entire process is aimed at avoiding court proceedings, thereby reducing some of the stress and anxiety often associated with family law matters.
For more information about the collaborative process follow https://www.fgd.com.au/family-law/collaborative-law.
Otherwise, stay tuned for more athletic updates and photos as our team ramps up their training for the LIV Legal Fun Run and Walk!
