Modern Paralegal

Emma Levay is a Paralegal based in Canberra. She joined Farrar Gesini Dunn after spending five years working across various areas of government, bringing with her a diverse professional background and a strong understanding of complex legal and administrative processes. Emma studied law at the Australian National University and has been part of the Farrar Gesini Dunn team since the beginning of 2025.

Working across both estate and family law, Emma assists clients with a broad range of matters, including estate planning, estate litigation, property settlements, parenting disputes, and divorce. She is passionate about helping clients navigate challenging legal issues with empathy, clarity, and practical guidance, and values the opportunity to support people through some of life’s most significant transitions.

Emma enjoys the people-focused nature of both estate and family law. She is drawn to the meaningful role lawyers play in supporting clients through periods of uncertainty, whether assisting families to plan for the future, resolving estate disputes, or helping individuals navigate separation and parenting arrangements.

Outside the Office

When Emma is not at work, she enjoys running, working her way through Canberra’s restaurant scene, and exploring new destinations around the world. One of her favourite travel memories is completing the Ha Giang Loop by motorcycle through northern Vietnam, a once in a lifetime experience.
