Lachie joined FGD in January 2025 after relocating from regional Victoria to Melbourne to complete his law degree and pursue further career opportunities. He began his time at FGD as a Legal Assistant and quickly transitioned into a Paralegal role. In the office, Lachie brings an infectious energy and charisma, which carries through to his client-focused approach to family law. He is cognisant of the sensitivity and emotional complexity involved in family law matters.

While Lachie’s friendly and approachable personality puts others at ease, it can be surprisingly contrasted with his confident and authoritative advocacy for clients. His colleagues value his reliability, initiative, and ability to approach challenges as opportunities, all while maintaining a positive attitude.

When he’s not hard at work at the office or at home finishing his study, Lachie is rarely found indoors. He’s usually out exploring local markets, cafés, and restaurants in search of Melbourne’s best eats. To balance his love of food, sport plays a major role in his spare time. In winter, he’s committed to his football, while in summer he packs in as much activity as possible, including running, tennis, cricket, and golf.
