Alicia graduated with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts majoring in Human Rights. Prior to joining FGD as a lawyer, Alicia worked exclusively as a paralegal, predominately in family law. At her previous firm, Alicia was also involved in probono work with the Mental Health Legal Clinic and Refugee Legal’s Afghanistan Clinic.
Having been in the family law space for a decade Alicia brings sensible commercially practical advice, whilst also having a keen interest in social-justice. Alicia is compassionate and considerate and understands that family law can be overwhelming and stressful at times. She is therefore committed to understanding the best approach, whether that involves settlement outside court, or being a staunch advocate if litigation is required.
Alicia is originally from Canberra, but has also lived in the UK and Brisbane before settling down in Melbourne. You will find her on weekends going for a run and stopping to pat all the dogs along the way, or winding down by reading an unnerving amount of US-specific political biographies, or watching reality TV that she will deny she enjoys. Alicia also speaks Dutch!
