Haydn is committed to assisting his clients to resolve their disputes as swiftly and amicably as possible. Prior to joining FGD, Haydn’s extensive experience in family law includes having worked as the Legal Associate to the Deputy Chief Justice of the Family Court of Australia, as the head of the family law team at a long-established Canberra law firm, as a Sessional Academic at the Australian National University and as a Registrar of the ACT Magistrates Court.
An experienced litigator and a persuasive advocate, Haydn relishes the opportunity to argue his client’s position, whether it be before the Court, or in the context of negotiations.
Haydn gained accreditation as a mediator in 2012. He is well regarded in the Canberra legal community and draws on his relationships with other professionals to obtain good results for his clients. Haydn is the immediate past president of the Canberra Region Family Law Professionals Association.
Born and bred in the ACT, Haydn is a sports nut. He is a long-suffering Essendon supporter, but is happy to talk tennis, cricket, soccer, basketball, cycling… or pretty much anything else (particularly after a Bomber’s loss).
Haydn spends most of his time away from the office with his young family. When he is not changing nappies or walking the dog he is at the cinema, doing the latest escape room or swimming laps.
